Welcome to Nepal Himalayan Trekking with Jesus.  I am Kalam Bahadur Gurung, a licensed trekking guide who would love to guide you in exploring Nepal particularly in the Annapurna Circuit route and the world's highest lake, the Tilicho Lake, which is 4,949 m high situated in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas in Manang District, Nepal.

This site has been created to provide necessary information about exploring the beautiful Himalayas, guide you with your trekking route interests, and share my trekking experiences.

My personal testimony of life: How I met Jesus | 12/17/2012 | Comments: 1302

I was a religious man who used to go to temples believing to receive the real peace in my heart. My attitude towards Hinduism was similar with my father who devoted himself to offering pujas to many Hindu idols of carved stones. One day, I offered a prayer to the highest Hindu god, gorkha kalika nath. I asked him to grant me with a black male goat if I succeed in my studies. With that in my prayer, I then went to Kathmandu to attend college. While in college, I encountered someone who handed me a tract. It told about Jesus Christ. My eyes were drawn to a scripture found in John 3:16 in the Bible. It was written, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but will have everlasting life." God touched my heart. He spoke to me through His Word. I was convinced that receiving Jesus in my heart would give me eternal life. In 2051 B.S., I accepted Jesus Christ in my life.

Since then, I did not separate from Jesus. Though sometimes I fail Him He is always here to hold me back because I realize He is faithful to me. I never regret meeting and knowing Jesus in my life because in Him I experienced His full love in my life.
